► Gast: My host(s) couldn't have done anything better! They gave me a huge bedroom, comfortable bed, towels and even a chocolate on my pillow! Breakfast was served every(3x!) morning on their balcony, they introduced me to Rotterdam and gave me all the information I needed.
► Guest: We came along very well, even they were half my age:-). Perfect hosts, so nice people!
► Guest: Before we actually met, I had a very good communication with my host. He sent me a nice and welcoming email with lots of information about him and his girlfriend. Where they lived, the access there and they even asked me what I wanted for breakfast! :-)
► Guest: I will do this again, no doubt. I stay in so many hotels with my work, so for me this was the best I could have done!
► Jazz-host: Heel leuk. Jullie vragen me een eerlijke reply te geven, maar was gewoon super! Weet niet echt verbeter punten denk ik.
► Guest: I made two new friends, and my love for Holland and the Dutch people is established forever! I'll be back next year!!
► Jazz-host: Wij willen ons graag weer aanmelden voor volgend jaar. Is prima bevallen!
► Guest: I can't really think of anything you could have done better. But if you also can make sure there are tickets/day passes for the festival reserved for guests choosing this offer, it will be 110% perfect. I know your project is not a part of North Sea so I can see the challenge here.
► Jazz-Hosts: Alle mensen waren ontzettend aardig dus het was heel gezellig! Leuk om ook weer eens mensen te spreken uit een heel andere beroepsgroep. Ik vond alles heel goed! Leuk om jullie (Judith & Wibbine) bij de borrel even een beetje te leren kennen en goed dat jullie bij iedereen thuis langs gaan!
► Gast: Ik heb de avond/nacht over het algemeen positief ervaren. Er was een redelijke klik met mijn gastvrouw. Goed genoeg in ieder geval Ik had mezelf in een opwelling opgegeven dus echt een verwachting had ik niet. Wat ik nog wel wil zeggen is dat ik nog wel heb getwijfeld. Ik had er toch even een raar gevoel bij. Stel dat we het nou totaal niet kunnen vinden oid. Dit is denk ik vooral een-op-een erg lastig. Het lijkt me slim er een activiteit aan te koppelen. Zo zijn wij samen naar een Jazz-cafe gegaan. Dat maakte het contact makkelijker!
► Gast: Zou ik het nog een keer doen? Yep!
► Guests: It was great, we didn’t have too much of an expectation but it was better than imagined! There was a perfect connection with our host. He was awesome! And his wife! Meeting his son was great too.
► Guests: Our hosts were very welcoming and had the room very nicely set up for us. We had coffee, and chatted a little. However we couldn’t stay too long as the festival began at 4 pm on the Sunday, so we planned to meet after. Unfortunately after we were quite tired so we left the club earlier – but our host was amazing on stage!
► Guests: We weren’t sure if we should tip? We didn’t however we did get a lovely CD from our host of his songs so feeling a little guilty, perhaps we should have done something for them as well? We might mail them a small present in the soon future.
► Guests: We would definitely do it again! It was an amazing experience. They were a great family and we are very grateful to have the opportunity to stay with them. You learn so much from interactions with new people.
► Guest: It was lovely! OnProbably communication earlier on would be good as travel arrangements for other hotels max out pretty quick so in the situation we aren’t placed with an artist, by the time the message is communicated, alternate accommodations can be quite costly. We stayed at SS Rotterdam so it worked out great in the end.
► Guest: Recommendations? Would it be possible to spent more time with our host?! One night and breakfast seemed too short. We would love to meet you guys in person as well ;-) Maybe next time we’re in Holland?!

► Gast (journalist): Het was een prachtige ervaring om in het gezin van mijn jazz-topper te worden opgenomen. Iemand interviewen in een half uurtje, wat gangbaar is, steekt mager af bij zoiets als dit.
► Gast: Wat een ontzettend leuk initiatief is Wake up in it! Tuurlijk heb ik het getroffen met de familie waar ik mee werd gematched. Ondanks een vreemde in huis zijn ze zichzelf gebleven. Geen maskers, geen mooipraterij. De leuke maar ook de moeilijke kanten van een muzikantenfamilie zijn onverbloemd naar buiten gekomen. Een onvergetelijke ervaring!
